It’s official, AJ are heading up the rankings. We’re always striving to improve so we were thrilled to see we have climbed up two places in Campaign magazine’s 2024 national advertising agency rankings (up to 47 from 49) and three places in the regional rankings (up to 14th place). We’re incredibly proud to be making our mark in such a competitive field.
We’re about more than just turnover
Whilst it’s always nice to get an official “thumbs up” it’s not how we benchmark our success. In an industry that sees a constant churn of clients and staff we’re proud to be different. Many of our clients have been with us for years, half of our staff members have been here for over a decade, a sure indication to us that we’re doing something right! If we want to judge ourselves we look at more than just turnover.
When we asses AJ we consider our impact on our client’s businesses. At AJ we consider how many clients we have helped grow from a small business to a big one. We look at how we deliver cheaper leads for new clients and how many new, profitable media avenues we introduce. It’s also important to us that we evaluate how we have kept costs down for advertisers and how many new creative initiatives we have brought to the table. We know all of this is what matters to our clients and if it matters to them it matters to us. It doesn’t matter if we’re ranked number 1 or number 100. If our clients aren’t happy we don’t consider ourselves a success.
Advertising agency rankings only tell you so much
We’re a “service first” agency. We never approach a piece of business and think “how much money can we make out of this?”. Our first question is always “how can we make a difference?”. We’re always looking to make things better and we see opportunities rather than challenges. If something is working we don’t rest on our laurels. If something isn’t working we don’t stop until we’ve exhausted every possible solution. We’re always looking at how we can improve, whether it’s a client’s advert creative or our own internal processes.
Advertising is a people business and our strength lies in the talent of our team. We foster an environment of collaboration and mutual respect. Our diverse experience and perspectives enable us to produce varied and exciting work that really delivers results for our clients.
It’s our commitment to delivering excellence that naturally filters through to our bottom line. In a year in which many of our contemporaries saw significant declines in their billings we saw an increase and 2024 is set to be even better. Whilst moving up the advertising agency rankings is a tremendous accomplishment we don’t take it lightly, it’s really just fuel for our fire. Watch this space!
